@madammorgo don’t do a zig zag stitch or stretch it. You want to do the knit stitch ( the one that goes forward then back then forward again) Shes using a serger not a zig zag stitch. And stretching knits is only for certain projects.
This actually makes perfect sense. Thank you so much. I’ve been staring at my fabric all day thinking of different patterns but this is by the far the most logical.

When I stretch my stretch fabric such as knit, it comes out all wavey. I use a zig zag stitch and don’t stretch my fabric. But I always hear people say to stretch your stretchy fabric as you sew….what am I doing wrong??

how do you make a high low skirt that is crossed in the front, making a sort of upside down V in the middle.
How do you measure the sections to spread when you cut it out?
there are some pretty nice patterns on burdastyle if you dont mind making ityourself
i divided it into 10 pieces before spreading it out killed my fabric funds but it looks so wimsy fairytale like am i making sense
